POSTAGE PAID CHRISTMAS ENVELOPE

We recommend our Christmas envelope, part of the Postage Paid product family, which has a stamp imprint with no value indication, to philatelists and people sending festive greetings. It may be used for correspondence in Hungary. The front of the envelope and the stamp bear Christmas designs and the envelope contains a sheet in a matching colour in the same festive spirit for sending the season’s greetings. The envelope was designed by the graphic artist György Kara and produced by Pátria Printing House. The design of the envelope and the imprint indicating the value incorporate a guilloche pattern as a security element. The number of copies issued will be dependent on demand. The envelopes are available at selected post offices and Filaposta in Hungary from 9 December, but may also be ordered from Magyar Posta’s online store.
The postage paid Christmas envelope bears the mark “Karácsonyi Posta”, that is Christmas post in English. This means that the item will be sent with the special Christmas postmark through the village of Nagykarácsony. The price of the envelope includes this special service. In this way there is no need to affix a separate Christmas label. Magyar Posta’s Christmas service is only available during Advent, but the envelopes may be used for correspondence at other times of the year as well.
