Magyar Posta has produced an exclusive
compilation of its 2020 stamps in Hungarian, English and German entitled Annual Stamp Set 2020, which is an ideal
gift for stamp-collecting friends and relations, or Hungarian or foreign
business partners.The new release was designed by the graphic
artist Barnabás Baticz and produced
by ANY Security Printing Company. The new issue will be available at Filaposta in
Hungary from 15 January, and may also be ordered from Magyar Posta’s online
store.
30 Years of Freedom - the first freely elected government

Connected to the “30 Years of Freedom” memorial year, this year Magyar Posta is issuing a commemorative miniature sheet about the members of the first freely elected government. Twenty thousand copies of the miniature sheet consisting of 10 stamps designed by the graphic artist Attila André Elekes were produced byANY Security Printing Company. Magyar Posta is issuing a special souvenir sheet in honour of the reconstructed Puskás Arena. CARTOON AND FAIRY TALE CHARACTERS II: FRAKK, THE TERROR OF CATS

Following Süsü the Dragon in the Cartoon and Fairy Tale Characters series, in 2020 Magyar Posta is releasing a numbered special souvenir sheet featuring the characters of the animated television series Frakk, the Terror of Cats. CHRISTMAS 2020
For sending seasonal
greetings in 2020 by post, Magyar Posta, as in previous years, is releasing a
self-adhesive postage stamp with no value indication and the inscription
“Domestic” in standard and special editions. The standard edition is in sheets
of fifty stamps, while the special edition is a miniature sheet of five stamps.
This Christmas Giovanni Battista Salvi da
Sassoferrato’s Madonna and Sleeping Child appears on the stamps. The new
issue was designed by the graphic artist Barnabás Baticz and produced by Pátria
Nyomda. The new releases will be available at first day post offices and
Filaposta in Hungary from 22 October 2020, and may also be ordered from Magyar
Posta’s online store.

50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Hungary and Singapore

In 2020, the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Hungary and Singapore is celebrated. The occasion is marked by the postal services of the two countries jointly issuing a special souvenir sheet containing two stamps designed by the graphic artist Imre Benedek. Fifty thousand numbered copies of the Hungarian-issued souvenir sheet were produced by ANY Security Printing Company. 93rd Stamp Day

Magyar Posta is issuing a pair of special stamps with different denominations and a numbered souvenir sheet with a surcharge to mark the 93rd Stamp Day, which will be held as a joint event with the 19th Temafila and 4th Aerofila Stamp Exhibitions at the Budapest headquarters of the National Federation of Hungarian Philatelists between 9 and 11 October 2020. The new issues designed by the graphic artist Barnabás Baticz were produced by ANY Security Printing Company and will be available at first day post offices and Filaposta in Hungary and may also be ordered from Magyar Posta’s online store from 9 October 2020. Magyar Posta devotes the HUF 300 surcharge on each souvenir sheet to supporting organised stamp collecting in Hungary.

125 years of the Hungarian Olympic Committee

Committee is celebrating the 125th anniversary of its foundation,

Palaces in Hungary II

Magyar Posta is continuing its series on castles and palaces launched in 2018 by presenting more stately homes. 2020, Year of National Cohesion
For the centenary of the Peace Treaty
of Trianon, the Hungarian Government has declared 2020 the Year of National
Cohesion. To mark this occasion, Magyar Posta is issuing a commemorative
souvenir sheet adorned with spot varnish designed by the graphic artist Tamás
Péter Takács in a black numbered standard edition and a red numbered imperforated

Hungarian Rock Classics I. Omega: Pearls in Her Hair

Magyar Posta is launching a new series of thematic stamps entitled Hungarian Rock Classics. The first rock band to be presented is Omega. Fifty thousand copies of the black numbered perforated souvenir sheets and four thousand copies of the red numbered imperforated souvenir sheets designed by the graphic artist Attila André Elekes using Szilvia Pállay-Kovács’s illustrations were produced by ANY Security Printing Company. Hungarian saints and blesseds VIII.

Posta is continuing the presentation of Hungarian saints and blesseds in 2020.
The numbered souvenir sheets with the subtitle Pious Elizabeths are issued in
honour of Elizabeth of Hungary, Elizabeth of Töss and Saint Elizabeth of
Portugal. Together with the standard edition, a special edition using embossing
and, as part of the exclusive set, a likewise numbered limited edition black print
are also being released. The new souvenir sheet was designed by the graphic

Our Natural Assets 2020 stamp set
The four
stamps in Magyar Posta’s series on the subject of Our Natural Assets in 2020
feature the dor beetle, the purple coneflower, the Tatar maple and the zander.
While each of the stamps shows a particular natural asset, the graphic
composition places these different elements in a single space. The stamp series
was designed by the graphic artist Tibor Z. Petényi and produced by ANY
Security Printing Company. The stamps were printed in mixed sheets with 30,000

Regions and Towns III: Dombóvár, Kisvárda and Százhalombatta
The
three new stamps in Magyar Posta’s series on the subject of Regions and Towns

For youth 2020: The first Hungarian space flight was 40 years ago
It is now 40 years since the first Hungarian
flew in space and Magyar Posta is marking this anniversary with a stamp issue. The
amount of the surcharge to support youth stamp collecting on two of the stamps

EUROPA2020: Ancient postal routes

Each year the members of the Association of European Postal Operators (PostEurop) issue stamps on a common theme to present the identical values of their states. The “EUROPA stamp” is still one of the most popular themes for collectors, and issues bearing the official logo are among the most sought-after new stamps. In 2020 the member countries are presenting the theme of ancient postal routes. Christianity’s most important feast, Easter, by issuing a definitive stamp.
Decorated eggs from the Art on Eggs Museum in Zengővárkony, which is
