ANNUAL STAMP SET 2019
Magyar Posta has produced an
exclusive compilation of its 2019 stamps in Hungarian, English and German
entitled Annual Stamp Set 2019, which
is an ideal gift for stamp-collecting friends and relations, or Hungarian or
foreign business partners.The new
release was designed by the graphic artist Barnabás
Baticz and produced by ANY SecurityPrinting Company. The new issue will
be available at Filaposta in Hungary from 19 December, and may also be ordered
from Magyar Posta’s online store.

30 years of freedom - regime changers
The Hungarian government has announced a
memorial year to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the 1989-90 change of regime
entitled 30 Years of Freedom and, in
honour of this,Magyar Posta is issuing a special miniature
sheet of 8 stamps. Twenty thousand copies of the miniature sheet designed by
the graphic artist Attila André Elekes were produced byANY Security Printing Company. The new

Renewed Letter Delivery Service
Magyar Posta is issuing a promotional
definitive stamp with a label called "Renewed Letter Delivery
Service". 175,000 copies of the philatelic novelty made by printing on the
label part of Your Own Message Stamp IV
Domestic were produced by the banknote printing company Pénzjegynyomda and
can be purchased at Filaposta and designated post offices or ordered from

EMINENT PHILATELISTS II
After Count Miklós Dessewffy, the latest piece
in the thematic personalised stamp series entitled Eminent Philatelists honours
the memory of Béla Payer. Eight thousand copies of the stamp with a label
designed by the graphic artist Imre Benedek were produced.

Christmas 2019
Similarly to the previous years, Magyar Posta
is issuing a postage stamp for sending Christmas wishes in 2019. The stamp is
self-adhesive and has no value indication, bearing the inscription “Domestic”.
It is released in standard and special editions. The standard edition is in
sheets of fifty stamps, while the special edition is a miniature sheet of five
stamps. The festive stamp features an image of the three kings, the envelope
shows the holy family, and the postmark features a candle motif. The novelties
were designed by the graphic artist Krisztina
Maros and were produced by Pátria
Nyomda. The new issue will be available at first day post offices and
Filaposta in Hungary from 5 November 2019, and may also be ordered from Magyar
Posta’s online store.

150th anniversary of Hungarian-Japanese diplomatic relations
On the
occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Hungarian-Japanese diplomatic
relations, the Japanese and the Hungarian Post will issue a miniature sheet of
10-10 stamps, 2 of them issued jointly and designed by YAMADA Yasuko. The other
8 stamps with the same theme were designed separately by the two Posts. The
Hungarian stamps were designed by Ágnes Berta. Thirty thousand copies of the
miniature sheet were produced by the ANY Biztonsági Nyomda Nyrt. The new issue

Budapest Water Summit 2019
The Budapest Water Summit 2019 is being held
for the third time between 15 and 17 October 2019, in relation to which Magyar

92ND STAMP DAY
Magyar
Posta is issuing a special two-denomination set of stamps and a souvenir sheet
with a surcharge to celebrate the 92nd Stamp Day, which is being held as a
joint event with the HUNFILA 2019 International Stamp Exhibition at the
Stefania Palace in Budapest between 4 and 6 October 2019. The new issues
were produced by ANY Biztonsági Nyomda Nyrt based on the designs of the graphic
artist Barnabás Baticz, and they will be on sale at the event, first day post
offices and Filaposta in Hungary from 4 October 2019, but may also be purchased

Magyar Posta is issuing the next release in the
Palaces and Castles series commenced in 2017 under the title Castles in
Hungary. Forty thousand copies of the miniature sheet of eight stamps, which

The first personality commemorated in this series is Count Miklós Dessewffy.

Magyar Posta is celebrating the centenary of
the foundation of the Pécs Stamp Collectors’ Club by issuing a thematic

HUNGARIAN SAINTS AND BLESSEDS VII

Posta is continuing the presentation of Hungarian saints and blesseds in 2019.
On this occasion the numbered souvenir sheet honours the martyrs of Kassa:

Magyar Posta is issuing a stamp with a label to
mark the 30th anniversary of the Bálványos Free Summer University

SEVSO TREASURE II
The Sevso treasure is one of the most important
finds of late Roman silver. Magyar Posta issued a stamp of the first seven
pieces of the treasure in 2014. Another seven objects repatriated in the second
phase are shown on the souvenir sheet issued in 2019. The sheet was designed by
the graphic artist Imre Benedek and 44,000 perforated and 6,000 imperforated
copies were produced of it by the banknote printing company Pénzjegynyomda. The

130 years of the Hungarian Parliament in the Inter-Parliamentary Union
Magyar Posta is issuing a special souvenir sheet with two stamps to
commemorate the Hungarian Parliament having been part of the
Inter-Parliamentary Union for 130 years since its foundation. The souvenir
sheet was designed by the graphic artist Eszter Domé and 60,000 perforated and

EUROPA 2019: National birds
Each year the members of the
Association of European Postal Operators (PostEurop) issue stamps on a common
theme to present the identical values of their countries. The “EUROPA stamp” is
still one of the most popular themes for collectors, and issues bearing the
official logo are among the most sought-after new stamps. In 2019 the member
countries are presenting the theme of national birds on their stamps. The
Hungarian miniature sheet consisting of two pairs of stamps was designed by the
graphic artist Ágnes Berta of which 40,000 copies were produced by the banknote

Mihály Gervay was born 200 years ago – the world’s first official postcard was issued 150 years ago
