ANNUAL STAMP SET 2018
Magyar Posta has produced an exclusive compilation of its 2018 stamps in Hungarian, English and German entitled Annual Stamp Set 2018, which is an ideal gift for stamp-collecting friends and relations, or Hungarian or foreign business partners.The new release was designed by the graphic artist Barnabás Baticz and produced by ANY Security Printing Company. It will be available at Filaposta in Hungary from 5 December, and may also be ordered from Magyar Posta’s online store.

Magyar Posta is issuing a stamp to celebrate the 2018 festive season. Similarly to the previous years, the postage stamp for sending good wishes by post is self-adhesive and has no value indication, bearing the inscription “Domestic”. It is released in standard and special editions. The standard edition is in sheets of fifty stamps, while the special edition is a miniature sheet of five stamps. The festive stamp depicts a snowman while the first day cover shows children and animals decorating a Christmas tree together. The special postmark is a storybook reindeer motif. The stamp was designed by the graphic artist Edit Szalma and was produced by Pátria Nyomda Zrt. The new issue will be available at first day post offices and Filaposta in Hungary from 5 November, and may also be ordered from Magyar Posta’s online store.

Soldiers and Stamp Collection
On the 5th November this year an exhibition dedicated to “Soldiers and Stamp Collection” will be held in Budapest, in the Stefania Palace. To commemorate this event Magyar Posta issues a topical own stamp, on which a picture from the collection of the HM (Ministry of National Defence) Institute and Museum of Military History is depicted. The image shows different military (foot) uniforms of WWI. The cancellation besides the exhibition also commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Gábor Áron Stamp Collecting Circle of HM.

heroes of World War I
Magyar Posta is honouring the heroes of World War I by issuing a special souvenir sheet. Forty thousand copies of the numbered souvenir sheet designed by the graphic artist Glória Hefelle were produced by the banknote printing company Pénzjegynyomda. 150 years of the Royal Hungarian Mail Train Service
Mail Train Service existed between 1868 and 2004 in Hungary. On these trains parcels were delivered and mails processed during the travel as well as- to a restricted extent- picked up and delivered.

Palaces in Hungary
Magyar Posta is continuing the series on palaces launched in 2017 under the name Palaces in Hungary in 2018, which presents the country’s renowned and less well-known stately homes. Forty thousand copies of the miniature sheet of eight stamps, which was designed by the graphic artist Eszter Domé, were produced by ANY Security Printing Company. the world of the Bakony dinosaurs
Magyar Posta is issuing a miniature sheet about the world of dinosaurs, once the rulers of the Earth’s biosphere. 50,000 copies of the standard edition of the issue, which was designed by the graphic artist Tibor Zoltán Petényi, and 2,000 copies of the numbered black print were produced by ANY Security Printing Company. 450 years of religious freedom
Magyar Posta is commemorating the 450th anniversary of the proclamation of the law on religious freedom in Transylvania by issuing a commemorative card. European Year of Cultural Heritag
Magyar Posta is issuing a promotional definitive domestic no value indication stamp with a label called European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 featuring versions of the logo of the thematic year, which appears on the label sections of the Your Own Stamp sheet. Hungarian Saints and Blesseds VI special edition and stamp set
Concurrently with the standard edition of the souvenir sheet Hungarian Saints and Blesseds VI, presenting Saint Andrew Zorard, Saint Benedict and Blessed Maurus of Pécs, a special red-numbered edition produced by diffractive printing and a numbered limited edition black print are also being released on 1 August 2018. The special edition together with the black print is also available in an exclusive set but the black print is only sold as part of the set. 91ST STAMP DAY
Between 29 June and 1 July 2018 Nagykőrös will host the events of the 91st Stamp Day and the HUNFILA 2018 – 650TH ANNIVERSARY OF NAGYKŐRÖS, TOWN OF JÁNOS ARANY National Stamp Exhibition. Magyar Posta is issuing its traditional two-denomination set of stamps and a souvenir sheet with a surcharge for this year’s Stamp Day. The HUF 300 surcharge on each sheet will be devoted to supporting organised stamp collecting in Hungary. Regions and towns 2018: Sárospatak, Sárvár, Siófok
Magyar Posta is launching a new series of special stamps on the subject of regions and towns. The first three stamps in the series feature Sárospatak, Sárvár and Siófok, each celebrating the 50th anniversary of being granted town status. As well as showing the main sights, the composition of the stamps allows the position of the towns to be indicated on the map of Hungary. Postal history II
Magyar Posta continues the issue of its series of definitive stamps on postal history, which began in 2017. In 2018 six denominations are appearing. EUROPA 2018: Bridges
Each year the members of the Association of European Postal Operators (PostEurop) issue stamps on a common theme to present the identical values of the member states and the importance of philately. The “EUROPA stamp” is still one of the most popular themes for collectors, and issues bearing the official logo are among the most sought-after new stamps. The member countries chose bridges to be the theme for 2018 in order to present shared values. In 2018 the theme of the miniature sheet with a surcharge issued to support youth stamp collecting is the universe with a selection of the varied configurations of the Milky Way Galaxy. Chinese horoscope : 2018 the Year of the Dog
According to the Chinese horoscope, the period between 16 February 2018 and 4 February 2019 is the Year of the Dog, which is illustrated by Magyar Posta on a small stamp sheet. The main motif of the two different stamp images is the figure of a dog. The small sheet was produced in 70,000 copies in Pénzjegynyomda, based on the design by Kálmán Székely, graphic artist.
